NCBA Golf Series attracts interest from enthusiastic golfers

Over 120 enthusiastic golfers participated in the penultimate event of the NCBA Golf Series at the Entebbe Golf Club on October 28 2023. 

The golfers are vying for a place in the grand finale for the series which will be held on December 1st 2023 at the Sigona Golf Club in Nairobi.

The inaugural golf series was launched in 2021 and further to its success the series continued for the 2nd year in 2022 by hosting 2 tournaments in Uganda and more than 15 in Kenya. It included Junior Golf Series tournaments in partnership with U.S. Kids Golf which attracted over 200 junior golfers representing over 13 nationalities.

Speaking during the Award Ceremony, NCBA CEO Mark Muyobo said the bank is committed to growing the game of Golf in Uganda and especially inspiring both players and fans to pursue the benefits that come along with the sport.

Peace Kabasweka emerged the overall winner of NCBA Golf Series that held over the weekend in Entebbe.

Muyobo emphasized the bank’s commitment to this tournament in a bid to continue to promote the game of Golf in Uganda and noted that Inspiring Greatness is not by accident because it’s firmly embedded in the ethos of the NCBA Brand and is a key driving force in all business endeavors in Uganda and beyond. He also commended the NCBA Golf Series Sponsors World Navi who offered the car to be won in the Hole-In-One Challenge, ICEA the Insurance partners of the Tournament who also provided Golfers Insurance for one year to the winners; Uganda Breweries Ltd and Crown Beverages Ltd the drinks sponsors of the Golf Series.
