Liquid Intelligent Technologies have announced the launch of the first Microsoft Azure Stack in Uganda that will enable local businesses to access cloud solutions that meet the local data regulatory requirements.e
Michael Mukasa the Chief Executive Office at Liquid Intelligent Technologies in Uganda, says the introduction of Azure Stack will reduce latency and accelerate cloud adoption as the country embraces digital transformation
“By investing in its first azure stack hub in Uganda, Liquid is not only demonstrating its commitment to the country’s digital transformation but also actively supporting the Uganda digital transformation road map”.
The road map aims to connect 90% of Ugandan households to the internet by 2040 a goal that Liquid is dedicated to achieving.
The azure stack hub will be a game changer for local business, and Mukasa says it will provide them with cost effective access to local cloud solutions, and enable them to run latency sensitive business applications.
“The organisation will empower its existing clients with a highly secured cloud solution, reduce latency and enable real time business continuity with flexible adoption models” said Liquide Intelligent Technologies CEO Mukasa .
The introduction of the Microsoft Azure stack is simplifying accessing cloud solutions since many businesses were finding it hard to pay in foreign currency and other payment methods.
With the Azure stack people can now pay in local currency and they can pay directly using the Liquid bank account or pay at the Liquid offices as opposed to using credit cards.
Uganda becomes the 5th country where Liquid has deployed the Microsoft Azure stack in Africa. Other countries are Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia.
