Centenary bank rewards 60 in Cente Visa promo

Centenary Bank, Uganda’s leading commercial microfinance Bank, has awarded over 60 people with lots of prizes following a 3- month long campaign of its electronic visa card in grand prize draw .

Up to five customers, each with a child, won a fully paid trip for the two to watch the semi-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations games slated for 21st June to 19th July this year in Egypt where Uganda is competing as a country.

Among the winners were staff and members of the public who include, Jane Nampera, Saidi Manager, Andrew Kasujja, Christine Nalukenge and Ruth Adibaku. A cheque of shs.24 million was presented to the winners.

Speaking during the finale of the ‘Kwasa with cente visa card promotion’, Mr. Fabian Kasi, Managing Director Centenary Bank applauded the customers for their loyalty and urged them to continue using their Visa cards.

“I want to encourage those who haven’t used these cards to do so because they are efficient and easy to use” he remarked.

Cente Visa card promotion started in late April and winners received weekly prizes including shopping vouchers among others. According to Beatrice Lugalambi, the General Manager, Corporate Communications and Marketing, there has been growth in the channel and the response has been good and exciting.

To enter the draw each customer had to have engaged in at least four transactions at any point of sale.The drive saw clients use the cards at fuel stations, pharmacies, hotels and other business centres.

Chief guest, Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Hon.Nakiwala Kiyinji who doubles as vice president of the Federation of Uganda Football Association(FUFA) noted that ‘Cente card is one of the mechanisms for going ‘e’ and it is convenient for youth worldwide since the world is going-e.I encourage all citizens to use the card.” She said.

Centenary Bank currently serves 1.4M customers, which is a third of the country’s banking population, and is running a financial inclusion drive to serve more and as such an expansion drive which calls for an increase in service outlets makes platforms like Visa relevant.

The bank has now urged professionals including pursuers of CPA,ACCA ,CPR and others to utilize the services.

Through out t the drive artist David Lutalo was the ambassador of the campaign and present also were representatives of the Federation of Uganda Football association(FUFA),the refereeing association among others.
