The outbreak of cholera a cross the neighboring district of Butaleja, mbale, Budaka district is now on high alert.
As 17 man task force has been set up to oversee any possible outbreak of the deadly disease in area
The acting district healthy officer Sam Wajega said the task force chaired by Budaka RDC James Okilia and the District Administrative officer and LC V chairperson among others as members.
The cholera outbreak in Butaleja district has so far claimed more than 8 people and left 35 hospitalized in Nabiganda isolation center.
Cases of cholera have also been reported in district of Busia, Mbale , Bulambule, and Sironko.
