Civil society calls upon women to be vigilant

By Zirimala Daudi

The Mentoring and Empowerment Program of Young Women (MEMPROW) has embarked on a campaign of sensitizing the women/girls on their safety from being victims of kidnaps and murder.

According to MEMPROW programs officer Sarah Nakame, young women should be security conscious with people they socialize with because criminals use people surrounding them to cause mayhem on women.

She calls upon the inspector general of police to prioritize the issue of women kidnaps and murder instead of lamenting after losing a life.
