Makindye grade1 magistrate Nyipir Fortunate has dismissed charges against the FDC 2016 presidential candidate Kizza Besigye, his driver Fred Kato, Kampala lord mayor Erias Lukwago and Jethel Nuwagaba allegedly committed on May 14 2016 at Nsambya sharing hall.
After over 8 times of prosecution failing to witnesses, Besigye lawyer Ernest Kalibbala sought for the dismissal which the magistrate accepted.
They were accused of disobeying lawful orders, unlawful assembly and inciting violence. Speaking to the media after the dismissal, Besigye blamed Moses Kibita the DPP for using courts to persecute politicians who have no case to answer and has vowed to seek malicious damage cost after discussing with his legal team.
