Electricity shocks a Boy to death on a circus carousel in Ibanda

Police are investigating the death of a 12-year-old at a trade fair in Ibanda town.

Peter Tabre was reportedly electrocuted, Sunday, while enjoying the circus carousel at Kibubura Integrated Primary School playground where a trade fair has been going on for the last five days.

Davis Pande the officer in charge of the Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department told our reporter that the teenager's body was dumped on the roadside after the incident. It was later taken for a postmortem at Ruhoko Health Centre IV.

Pande says police is probing the organizers of the fair, whose identities have been withheld to avoid jeopardizing the process. He however says the organizers were Kenyan traders.

Medrine Kyoga, the mother to the deceased told URN that his son left their home in Kyarukobwa A in Kagongo division, Ibanda Municipality, with friends for the trade show. He later received information that his body was electrocuted.

The organizers of the trade fair could not be traced by press time.
