Kim Kardashian takes her Met Gala fashion seriously. The reality star has consistently gone the extra mile with her choices, since she first stepped on the red carpet in the now iconic floral print Givenchy maternity dress in 2013.

Kardashian's tark black Balenciaga haute couture gown with matching mask and train was unlike anything Kardashian or anyone else has worn to the Met before. Completely obscuring her features and famous physique, the look gave the reality star something she hasn't had in a long while; anonymity.

Every Met has its own theme, and 2021 paid tribute to the ingenuity of American style. Guests didn’t have to wear a piece from a homegrown label, but their looks had to reflect America’s gusty, adventurous sartorial spirit

The covid19 pandemic didn’t hinder this event from being magnificent after celebrities rocking the red carpet in stunning outfits.

The socially distanced fashion event didn’t also make other celebrities dress lousily but they were  instead more creative which made it  more colorful.

Rihanna wore a Balenciaga couture black ruffle dress from Nicolas Ghesquière's fall 2021 collection, with a beanie and Bulgari diamonds and she came in with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky though she turned up so late  when the streaming was already done and other attendees were already inside parting.

The German pop star Kim Petras wore a light blue Collina Strada gown with a bright floral print and a giant horse's head jutting out from the top of the gown, as you do.

And the colleague she came in with Designer Hillary Taymour said: "We could be on the best-dressed list, or the worst-dressed list, but hopefully it's one of those moments people will reference. 'Remember that time Kim Petras and I dressed up as horses for the Met gala?'"

Actor Timothée Chalamet wore  a  white silk suit by Haider Ackermann a look  that is always  labelled as formal sweatpants.
