Roast and Rhyme 17th edition; mpola enjoyments indeed

 The 17th edition of the Roast Rhyme Reggae Nyam Nyam festival was indeed a true description of the full reopening of the entertainment industry.

Capital FM worked with Swangz and other sponsors to kick start the enjoyments season. The event was held under the theme “Mpola Enjoyments “ took place on 28th February 2022 at Jahazi Pier. Revelers brought fashion and color to life once again.

By midday and the crowd waited on performances, Roots Worriers band and Tshaka Mayanja opened the show with Reggae songs from several artists around the world.

The first performer Elijah Kitaka set the mood for the rest of the evening hit the stage at exactly 4: 00 PM and after his performance, Kenneth Mugabi surprisingly hit the stage, performed his ' Naki ' song with the band and many of his fans yearning.

At 7:00 PM, with the band's company, Mudra hit the stage, performed his hit songs such as ' Muyayu ',' 'Gwe Amanyi ', ' kimuli kyange ' which he sang with Vinka.

Vinka's session was so exceptional, she performed most of her songs starting from,' Chips and Ketchup' to 'Thank God '', in the middle of her performance, she invited Winnie Nwagi which increasingly excited revelers, Vinka concluded her performance with her latest song Thank God and after receiving that too much love from her fans, she hinted at organizing her own concert.

The festival ended on a high note with  Ziza Bafana who entertained revelers. He invited   Dr. Jose Chameleone though was not slated to perform.

Children were also catered for, they were seen playing in the kids' section that was well arranged with bouncing castles and other toys.

However, the event was crowned with an after-party by the lakeside (same venue) and D.J Alicia was its official D.J
