Meat, Good Music Headline Nile Special Sponsored East African Meat Carnival

This is the first time that Nile Special partnered with the event organizers to pull it off and provide a product that would keep revelers refreshed.

Uganda Museum was the place to be on Saturday 26th March as the much-anticipated East African Meat Carnival went down.  Described as a fusion of meats and music from the different East African countries – Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya hence UTARKE, the Nile Special event featured stage acts by musical legend Maddox Ssematimba and others like Sheeba Karungi and Mun-G.

According to organizers, the event happens every quarter and features regional music and meats, themed to a specific country.

For the first time in the event’s organization structure, Nile Special came on board to boost the event this year and keep revelers refreshed with a beer that is Unmatched In Gold.

According to Amou Majok, the Head of Marketing at Nile Breweries, the event was in line with Nile Special’s purpose, to celebrate Ugandan greatness – big or small.

 “Since last year, we have been celebrating Nile Special’s superior quality that has seen the brand scoop 21 gold medals, the most number of gold medals ever won by a Ugandan beer. Events like the East African Meat Carnival present opportunity to celebrate with our consumers,” said Amou Majok, Nile Breweries’ Head of Marketing. Nile Special is all about celebrating Uganda’s uniqueness and the things that make this country stand out is none other than is our food. We trust the chefs will deliver the best of Uganda’s delicacies and when paired with Nile Special, that will be a moment one can live to remember,” she added.

The East African Meat Carnival also featured Barbecue by chefs Mark Kaheru and Mozes alongside entertainment from Uganda’s best. It was hosted by Sami Wetala and Esteri.
