National Environment Management Authority has unveiled celebrated Ugandan model and fashionista Judith Heard as its Goodwill ambassador.

The Executive Director Dr. Akankwasa Barirega noted that celebrities like Judith Heard inspire people. Giving her a chance to represent the environment will ensure behavior change amongst the entire population.

He added that through celebrities the message of promoting best environmental practices will move much faster and that the Authority will engage various stakeholders including religious leaders to advance the cause of sustainable environmental management.

On her part, Judith promised to use her assigned role through her Judith Heard Foundation, Plant the Mutuba Tree among other projects to influence fellow Ugandans to conserve the environment.

Meanwhile, in April 2022  the supermodel has crowned Miss Environment International Africa at the Miss Environment International Pageant held in Mumbai, India.
