South African Rapper Costa Tsobanoglou alias Costa Titch died while performing on stage.
The 27 year old reportedly collapsed while performing at the Ultra music festival on Saturday (11th March 2023) that was in Johannesburg South Africa.
In a video that went viral, Costa is seen falling down during the performance, he was picked up by a body guard and he continued singing. He however slumped the second time and is seen falling off stage and later carried away.
Costa was popular for his contribution to the Amapiano genre with several hit songs including “Nkalakatha”,”Big Flexa” among others. The star had also recently signed a deal with Akon’s record label ”Konvict Kulture” following their collaboration on the Big Flexa Remix.
His death follows his fellow AKA who was shot dead in Durban on 10th February 2023.This is a big tragedy to South Africa’s Music Industry.
Costa has performed twice in Uganda, at Garden City and Lugogo Cricket Oval. His loss has shocked his fans including fellow singers and this is manifested through the tributes they have poured on social media.
