The Miss Uganda Chief Executive Officer Brenda Nanyonjo hinted at introducing Mr. Uganda Initiative this year “2023”.

While in an interview Nanyonjo didn’t reveal many details about the coming initiative but noted that its purpose is to mentor young boys into responsible men and fathers.

She explained that the escalating rate of single mothers is due to irresponsible fathers adding that with the existence of initiatives like Mr. Uganda, boys will be given several skills including how to effectively take on their responsibilities when they become men or fathers in the future.

The Miss Uganda Initiative has so far succeeded in mentoring young girls into responsible mothers and ladies however boys have been left out, the Mr. Uganda Initiative will cover up that gap, Nanyonjo stated.

Nanyonjo took over the Miss Uganda franchise in 2011, because of her passion the pageant has highly progressed amidst criticism and disparagement. She said that with the same passion, she will be in a position to also promote the Mr. Uganda Pageant.
