Eddy Kenzo’s “Born in Africa” nominated in CAMA Awards

Eddy Kenzo’s version of “Born In Africa” was nominated in the third edition of the Caribbean Afro Music Awards that are set to be held soon.

The Caribbean Afro Music Awards is a dedicated annual award ceremony acknowledging and rewarding British and International talent from the musical genres of Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Reggaeton and Gospel.

The Big Talent Boss shared the good news on his socials and said that the song was  nominated under the category of “Best Music Video”.

Having released his version in February /2023, he received a lot of negative criticism from several stakeholders in the music industry alleging that he poorly remade the song vocally however most of them  appreciated the video.

The browbeat-inspired track is a celebration of the African culture, pride, and unity .It was originally composed and sung by the late Philly Bongoley Lutaaya. Due to its inspirational message artists keep redoing it to promote its continuity .
