Celine Dion cancels the remaining 42 shows of her world tour

Canadian Singer Celine Dion cancelled the remaining live  shows of her “Courage World Tour” due to her health problems.

The Queen of Power Ballads commenced her “Courage World Tour”  in 2019, she had completed 52 shows before the Covid-19 pandemic put the remainder on hold.

In 2022 the star also announced that she was diagnosed with a rare condition called "Stiff Persons Syndrome" (SPS ) which has led to the cancellation of the remaining 42  shows that were scheduled to take place in 2023 and 2024.

In a statement shared on her socials, she sorely cancelled the shows but assured her fans that soon she will give them the best performance when she  recovers.

In an emotional video the 55 year old posted in 2022, she explained that she was diagnosed with SPS, a disorder that causes muscle spasms which doesn’t allow her to use her vocal cords.

That made her cancel dates for the  North American shows and in this recent announcement all the delayed European performances together with those in Zurich, London,Amsterdam among others have been cancelled.

The tour was to have been her  first global concert tour in a decade and the first without her husband-manager Rene Angelil, who died from cancer in 2016.The star is known for a number of  hits including It’s All Coming Back To Me Now , Because You Loved Me, My Heart Will Go On among others.
