Beenie Gunter returns after months in the UAE where he was arrested

Dancehall singer Beenie Gunter, real name Crescent Baguma, returned to Uganda after more than a  month in the UAE where he was arrested and detained.

 The star arrived on Friday 1st/March/2024 and was warmly received by his baby mama Nickie Berry together with his son Joshua Baguma at Entebbe International Airport.

The popular singer had been arrested in Abu Dhabi following a bar brawl on 21st/January/2024. His unexpected detention shocked and saddened his fans and the music industry as a whole.

During his time in custody, Beenie Gunter received an outpouring of support from his fellow musicians including Bobi wine and industry professionals.

He was eventually granted a bond however travel restrictions prevented Beenie Gunter from returning to Uganda until his case was fully resolved.

Today, the singer was able to come back to his home country which excited his fans and also gave them relief.
