Celine Dion Opens Up About Living with Stiff Person Syndrome

Celine Dion shared  her struggle while living with Stiff Person Syndrome and noted  that it’s the hardest experience.

Through the post she shared on her Instagram that featured her photo and her three sons – René-Charles and twins Nelson and Eddy, the legendary entertainer however revealed her determination to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible.

She further appreciated her fans, friends and family for the support they have given her while in these challenging times and encouraged fellow SPS patients to continue being strong as it will help them to easily overcome the healing process.

According to the available research “Stiff Person Syndrome” (SPS) is a rare neurological condition that causes spasms and muscle rigidity, with heightened sensitivity to stimuli such as sound, lights and emotional distress that can bring on the muscle spasms.

The Grammy Award Winner first shared her diagnosis in 2022. She has since stopped touring and performing live. She narrated her struggle in commemoration of the International SPS Day that takes place on 15th/March.
