Blue Ivy wins another BET award

Blue Ivy Carter scooped another BET award at the 2024 edition that took place on  Sunday /30th/ June.

The 12-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z won the Youngstar’s Award, which honors child and teen entertainers, she beat the competition from the likes of Akira Akbar, Demi Singleton, Heiress Diana Jabria McCullum, Jalyn Hall, Leah Jeffries, and Van Van, the latter to win.

Blue wasn’t at this year’s ceremony, but her loved ones publicly celebrated her achievement, including her mother Beyonce together with her production and management company, Parkwood Entertainment.

The little one is now a two-time BET Award winner, she first won the BET Her Award in 2020 when she was 8 years old for her role on “Brown Skin Girl” with Beyoncé, Wizkid, and Saint JHN.

The BET Her Award made her become the youngest winner in that show’s history. Besides that, she is also the youngest artist ever to appear on any Billboard chart after her baby coos and breaths were incorporated into Jay-Z’s “Glory” in 2012 among other achievements.

The rising star has a big fall ahead of her, as she’s making her voice acting debut in Disney’s The Lion King Prequel Mufasa: The Lion King, a film that will hit theatre on December/ 20th /2024. Beyoncé will reprise her role as Nala, while Blue will be playing Nala and Simba’s daughter, Kiara.

Meanwhile, Beyonce also won a BET Award on Sunday, earning the viewer’s choice award for “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
