President Yoweri Museveni has  appointed singer Edrisah Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives.

Kenzo’s new role is expected to bring much-needed attention and development to the industry, addressing concerns that have lingered for years.

The Singer’s appointment came at a time when stakeholders in the creative sector are advocating for the amendment of the Copyright law, a legislation that is expected to address numerous challenges faced by creatives and ensure a fair playing field for artists to benefit from their intellectual property.

The Uganda National Musicians Federation President Eddy Kenzo has joined the growing list of over 160 advisers of the Head of State, his partner Phiona Nyamutoro who is also the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development showed excitement over the milestone through a post on her social media platforms.
