Lucky Atino Bianka from Northern Uganda is the new Miss Tourism Uganda having beaten 29 contestants from various regions of the country, all vying for the prestigious title.
The event that took place at Kampala Serena Hotel was hosted by Comedian and MC Patrick Salvado Idringi. The evening kicked off with an electric feel as contestants made a grand entrance, each donning outfits inspired by the Ugandan flag.
The blend of modern and traditional elements in their attire was a celebration of the nation’s rich culture and heritage, drawing applause from the audience.
As the new Miss Tourism Uganda, Atino whose win comes with exciting prizes, including a Toyota Wish will embark on a year-long journey promoting Uganda’s tourism industry both locally and internationally.
Atino was followed by Victoria Ndamurani from Bunyoro and Racheal Akidi from Karamoja in first and Second runner-up positions respectively.
Miss Tourism Uganda is an annual beauty pageant, aimed at promoting Uganda as a top tourism destination and this year’s edition marked yet another milestone in Uganda’s efforts to boost its tourism industry, as contestants showcased not just beauty but a deep understanding of the country’s tourism potential.
