Fire has gutted several buildings and kiosks in Kitega village Mukono district destroying property worth millions of shillings.
The Residents district commission Lt.David Matovu says the fire started at around 2 am from a charcoal stove which was left unattended to.
He says the fire destroyed shops selling furniture, Electrical appliances, bars and saloons. Fire fighters arrived at the scene later without water in the vehicles to put out the blaze.
