Another member of Parliament from Ntugamo municipality Karuhanga Gerald says his life is in danger after receiving threatening messages.

Karuhanga is the fourth MP to receive threats in a period of less than three months  since Arua municipality Ibrahim Abiriga was shot dead.

The matter was first raised in parliament by Mbale woman mp Connie Galiwango, followed by Busongora mp William Nzoghu and then  Buhweju county MP Francis Mwejukye.

MP  Karuhanga informed journalists at parliament that on Monday night he received two messages from unknown number threatening him that after the death of Makerere university researcher Dr. Moses Kiiza Musaazi he will be next.

Karuhanga said when he tried to contact the sender in the morning he denied being aware of the act, and only uses the number for his mobile money business.

Karuhanga however says that he has opened up a case at parliament police to investigate the matter.

Arua municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga was killed in June this year as he approached his home in kawanda wakiso district, after he had complained over death threats.
