IGP Okoth orders for a Police head count

The inspector General of police, Okoth Martin Ochola has ordered for head count in Uganda police force to commence on 18th-June-2018 across the country to know the actual numbers of serving officers as way of professionalize the force.

According to the message from Professional standard unit commander assistant commissioner of police William Okalany the head count will begin with units, divisions and regions within Kampala before extending to up country.

He adds that all personnel will be counted from their particular area of deployment within district and division.

Okalany adds that the division police commanders will organize the audit centers and each officer will fill a man power audit form before proceeding to the audit team for verification.

The police officers will expect to present passport photos, warrant cards, bank account, tin number, and national identity card number. He strongly warns those will miss the exercise their names will be deleted from the payroll.
