Security is tight at the Kampala Capital City Authority headquarters where a group of supporters of city Lord Mayor elect Elias Lukwago are expected to clean uo his office ahead of his swearing in ceremony.

The swearing in was earlier scheduled  for May 20th but it was postponed to June 1st due to some missing names of councilors in the gazette.

Lukwago told Capital FM earlier that he could not wait to access his office three years after it was locked up following his impeachment by the city councilors over alleged incompetence.

Lukwago and his team made several attempts to open the office after he was re elected but the authority denied them access.

Kampala Capital City Authority deputy spokesperson Robert Kalumba says this time they will be allowed into access Lukwago’s office for clean up.
