Police in Kabalagala is investigating the circumstances under which a police officer shot dead a driver to the judge this morning.
According to Luke Oweyisigyire the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson the diceased has been identified as Ismail Mayiga a driver to Justice Musa Ssekana. He also identified the suspect as Police Constable Daisy Nagasha attached to VIPPU.
It alleges that the two were joking at the gate as the deceased provoked the officer of carrying the gun that appear to be carrying a gun that appears to be defunct. This prompted the suspect to pull away her gun from the deceased accidentally pressing the trigger and shot him dead.
This happened at Bukesa Muyenga in Makindye division, police arrested the PC Nagasha and the gun was taken by scene of crime officer while the body has been taken to Mulago for postmortem.
