A 27 year old thief who broke into a house and raped a mother in the presence of her two year old baby girl in 2016 has been charged with rape and aggravated robbery.
Kampala high court judge Mukwaya Olive has charged luzinda paul but he however denied the charges.
He has been further remanded to Luzira prison until 29th of July when hearing of his case is expected to commence.
According to evidence before court, on the 20th of December 2016, the suspect broke into the house of the victim at Jinja Kaloli in Kawempe division, raped her and later robbed her of two million Uganda shillings.
Hr allegedly used a deadly weapon (Panga) to threaten to cause her harm incase she resisted.
