Masaka police top bosses asked to step down as investigations continue

Police Professional Standards Unit has ordered top leadership at Masaka Central police station to vacate office to pave way for investigation.

This comes after a Bodaboda rider Hussein Walugembe 29 year set himself on fire in the office of acting Officer in Charge traffic for failing to raise 40,000/= for the release his motorcycle.

The four officers asked to leave the office are District Police Commissioner, Masaka Superintendent of Police Bosco Bakashaba , Elias Bairuka officer in charge of criminal investigation, Owen Nahabwe officer in charge of operations, and David Kanakulya OC station Nyendo police.

According to Mohammed Nsubuga the police spokesman Greater Masaka region, the four officers have been asked to report to the Professional Standards Unit head offices in Bukoto
