Mp Lutamaguzi attacks colleagues in opposition over their exchanges on petty issues

Nakaseke south MP Lutamaguzi semakula attacks colleagues in the position for exchanging words in public over petty issues such as chairing a committee with deliberating issues affecting the masses.

The law maker add that the infighting among the opposition members over the committee of commissions, statutory authorities and state enterprises ( COSASE) indicate that there is something special members need to get from the committee.

Lutamaguzi’s remarks follows continuous exchanges between the speaker Kadaga and leader of position in parliament Betty Aol Ochan , Comments by the opposition whip Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda and kawempe south MP Mubarak Munyagwa over the decision by kadaga to extend the tenure of bugweri mp Abdu Katuntu to chair the committee for more two months after his term had expired.

The tenure for Abdu Katuntu as the chair for COSASE committee and her vice Bukedea woman mp was expiring on 13 of this month but it was extended by speaker kadaga to 20th February to enable them conclude the probe into the closure of seven commercial banks by Central Bank.

Lutamaguzi however say that the matter can be discussed in house without exposing themselves.

The MP also asks colleagues who have been in parliament for a long time to be exemplary to those who have just joined.
