Persons with disabilities have expressed disappointment at the new Cabinet saying it is a clear manifestation that the NRM government is no longer interested in disability issues and persons with disabilities.

PWDs are not happy with the new cabinet saying that none of the newly appointed ministers is disabled yet there are not more than seven members of parliament with disabilities in parliament.

They expressed their disgust at the new cabinet while addressing the media at the National Union of Disabled Persons in Uganda-NUDIPU in Bukoto.

They are now demanding   president to appoint any of disabled MP on his cabinet to handle the issues of persons with disabilities immediately.

Yona Wasswa, the acting chairperson for NUDIPU says they are tired of the president appoint a minister Tibaleke Andrea who has no signs of disability to handle their issues.
