African Researchers from Makerere university college of health science and Botswana university have launched a comic adventure book which will be used to inform and educate the communities in
both Uganda and Botswana of their genes and how they influence diseases.
The book that will be translated in all local languages in both countries aims at making the people understand how it’s important for them to avail blood to the researchers for Genetic tests.
The head of genetics department Makerere University College of health science DR Misaki Wayengera says that many people including health workers lack information on genetics or DNA yet changes in DNA led to diseases.
