Mbale high court has dismissed the election petition case filed against Sironko district woman MP Florence Nambozo with costs.

The case was filed by National Resistance Movement’s Asha Mafabi Nabulo against the Sironko woman MP on grounds of allegedly forging academic documents and engaging herself election malpractice.

While reading the judgement this morning, Justice David Matovu said that the petitioner failed to bring enough evidence to prove that Nambozo forged academic papers.

The judge also noted that father of Nambozo (accused) had no another daughter that the petitioner was claiming, used academic documents during the nomination exercise.

Florence Nambozo, the Sironko woman MP while speaking to media at court premises shortly after the judgement, expressed her content with the ruling saying that it was the beginning of time to serving her constituents.

She urged the petitioner and her supporters join her, bury their differences and reconcile for development of Sironko district.

However, Hassan Kamba the lawyer of Lumolo, has disagreed with the ruling saying they were going to appeal.
