Muslims In Kiboga Get new mosque

Muslims in Kiboga District have been urged to intensify their worship with the opening of a new Mosque.The call was made by Sheikh Imran Ssali, the Secretary for Dawa at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council while Officiating at the opening of a new Mosque in Kyomya village in Kiboga district.

 The said Mosque was funded by Islam Cares  in partnership with UK-based Charity- Blackburn Trust .

It sits on a one-acre piece of land donated by Edris Muyito.

Sheikh Ssali thanked both donors  of the project led by Mr. Muluya Twaha, and Sheikh Abdallah Kigozi respectively for executing various projects countrywide.

It is now upon you Muslims to intensify the worship of the Almighty Allah in this Mosque and use it as a centre where your children will learn the tenets of their Islamic faith," Sheikh Ssali said.

Sheikh Ssali urged Worshipers to jealousy maintain the mosque in a  good state and  called upon Muslims to offer personal contributions towards other Community projects to attract donors to supplement their efforts. 

He also advised the worshipers to utilize the remaining land by  constructing a school.

He described this as the true spirit of the Interreligious Council of Uganda- IRCU and requested Muslim Duats ( Islamic Preachers and Propagators) Countrywide to register with the Dawa Office at the UMSC Headquarters for the purpose of updating their Profiles.S

Sheikh Jamada Ssevume, the Mataji  County Sheikh requested the Donors to always consider people with disabilities when executing such projects so as to enable them to easily access the building and washrooms. 

He further urged Muslims to emulate the example of Haj Edris Muyito who donated the land that was fully registered in the names of UMSC and urged the celebrants to embrace the ongoing COVID-19 Vaccination exercise.
