Senior Police officer hired out Gun to Kill City Paralegal

The joint task team investigating the shooting of Mukisa Ronnie, a clerk at IBC Advocates have arrested a senior police officer for allegedly hiring out his gun that was later used in the murder.

Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga identified the senior officer as Superintendent of Police Vincent Irama, the Kampala Metropolitan North deputy police commander who was arrested together with the shooter, Corporal Anyuse Max Geoffrey a UPDF deserter attached to the Mountain Division and had been deployed to DRC for Operation Shuja.

Enanga added that the others are businessman Robert Karedu Irama and his wife Brenda Nalwoga.

He explained that Karedu has been friends with Irama together with his wife and could use him whenever they had business misunderstandings with other people while Cpl Anyuse Max Geoffrey had deployed himself as an escort to the businessman.

Enanga says that the investigating task team comprising of CID, Crime Intelligence and Chieftaincy of military intelligence ( CMI) who have for the last 11 days been investigating the murder of Mukisa Ronnie who was killed from his home at Kitiko Birongo in Ndejje Division Makindye Ssabago Wakiso district arrested the four suspects after carrying analysis of the shooting.He noted that it was established that the deceased clerk ,

Karedu and his wife Nalwoga were friends ,but they got a misunderstanding which forced the two to hire Cpl Anyuse Max Geoffrey as their hit man but they involved SP Eramu Vincent by hiring his gun which was used in the murder.

He says that the investigating teams first arrested the businessmen, his wife and Anyuse from their home in Kasana Village in Kulambiro where they recovered two magazines and military attires.

He said that Anyuse later admitted to have participated in the shooting and to this he led them to the senior police officer’s home in Kawempe from where he was arrested.He was found with two guns, including a pistol which had two of its ammunition replaced recently.

Enanga noted that they condemn the acts of indiscipline by some of their security personnel including SP Irama and Corporal Anyuse.

He further adds that after the investigation the four suspects will appear in court on charges of murder.
