Students arrested for threatening to conduct terror attacks

Two senior one students have been arrested on charges of threatening violence after they wrote an anonymous letter disguising as ADF rebels and threatening to attack their own school and two others in Kasese.

16 year old Mwesigye Innocent and a 17 year old Ayebale Benon both S.1 students at St Charles Lwanga High School Sheema district wrote an anonymous terrorist letter to the school administration while posing to be terrorists.

 Police spokesperson, Frdd Enanga  revealed that the two students  citing the recent terrorist attack on Lubiriha Secondary school, last month  said they  had plans of carrying out  a similar  attack on their own school and two others in Kasese.

He said working with the school administration, they were able to arrest the students who later admitted to be behind the letter in revenge for being punished by the dormitory captain after threatening to burn the dormitory.

According to police, the school administration had earlier suspended other students from the school over cases related to drug abuse.

The  two students will be charged in courts of law over threatening violence.

He warned students against using violence to solve their grievances with school management.
