Prostitutes Ask to be Included on List of PDM Beneficiaries

Commercial sex workers in the eastern city of Jinja   appeal to government to consider them as parish development model (PDM) beneficiaries.

They made the appeal during through police while it conducted night patrols   in different streets in Jinja city. According to James Mubi , ht e Kiira region police spokesman some of the sex workers connive with suspected criminals and rob their clients of cash and other valuable belongings.

Mubi adds that the operations followed a report from their clients but in the process of arresting them, they told the police that they should also be considered to benefit from this government program intended to create wealth for all. 

They [prostitutes] expressed concern that they don’t make it on the list of beneficiaries of this government program. Prostitute said that little or no men can afford the 4000 they charge for their services.

They are saying, they now need to lead independent lives economically. But need government support of the PDM.
