Senana Hypermarket in Trouble ver sale of Fake cosmetics

The Manager  of Senana Hypermarket  Isma Byekwaso has been remanded to Luzira prison on charges of  selling fake cosmetic products. 

Prosecution alleges 2 years ago on August 7th/ 2018 at Senana Hypermarket, Byekwaso and others still at large were found in possession of 270 pieces of cosmetic products.

They  products included  Dove lotions , soap and baby products which don't conform to the required standards of specifications listed for skin and hair creams. 

Byekwaso was today arraigned  before the Standards , Utilities and Wildlife Court Chief Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu assented the said offences.

He is also said to have been in possession  of substandard  electrical appliances for sale.

He was  arrested on the 14th  November 2023  after UNBS  officials raided and closed -up  the supermarket along Buganda Road over claims that it deals in substandard  products.
