Police have opened up four charges against Tiktoker Musana Ibrahim who appeared in a video that went viral, abusing the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi.
The 27 year old Musana was apprehended by Crime Intelligence task teams over the weekend and faces charges of, hate speech, Incitement of violence, defamation, and offensive communication against the Kabaka of Buganda, the Katikkiro and Buganda Kingdom, under the Computer Misuse Act.
He committed the offenses through various digital platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp.
According to Police spokesperson Fred Enanga, they have recovered over 50 videos of anti Kabaka sentiments, that are vulgar, abusive, hostile and defamatory which will be used as evidence in court.
Enanga said the suspect who was handed over to the Directorate of CID at Kibuli is now being processed for prosecution.
