Police Identifies Assailants of Buganda Clan Head

Police have disclosed identities of two of the three assailants who allegedly involved in the murder of the Ndiga Clan leader, Omutaka Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson identified the suspects as  Enock Sserunkuuma, a resident of Lungujja  and Noah Luggya.

The two belonged to the same clan Ndiga  clan headed by Bbosa.

The 3rd suspect  managed to escape unhurt and his identity is still a mystery.

Enanga says that CT Scan was done on Luggya on Monday , showed he did not suffer any fractures and he remains  under the tight security by  four detectives from Kampala Metropolitan Police..

Although the suspects were arrested by the mob the motive of this shooting is not yet known , but what is clear is that it was a targeted shooting .

The deceased's  wife  Glades Bbosa and the house help Peace Nambale who were in the same car  escaped with no injuries.

Enanga lauded  the vigilante members of the public especially the Boda Boda riders  for the vigilance, and swift response, but urged them not to lynch the suspect since vital evidence may be lost.

"We are going to record statements from Luggya Noah when he stabilizes to back track who are the perpetrators behind this shooting" he said.

Police will heavily rely on  both government and private installed  CCTV cameras at the scenes of crime to identify the 3rd suspect who's still at large.

A gun and the motorcycle with original number plate UFX 854F that was  sealed with a fake number plate UEX 754E were recovered  from the scene as exhibits.
