This year's Annual Father Bill Bible Convention promises an extraordinary experience of total healing and deliverance, as emphasized by Reverend Father Steven Mulayinkal, the head of the Vincentian Retreat Center in Entebbe.

Speaking passionately from the serene retreat center in Bugonga, Entebbe, Fr. Steven shared insights into the unique features awaiting attendees.

"This retreat is exceptional, offering special talks on total healing, powerful preaching of the Word of God, healing ministries, deliverance, family healing, blessings, miracles, and conversions. Additionally, there will be holy adoration and a profound celebration of the Holy Eucharist," expressed Fr. Steven.

Scheduled to unfold from the 6th to the 10th of March 2024  at the Entebbe Mayor’s Gardens in Katabi, the convention will feature Father Anthony Saji from Nairobi, Kenya, as the main preacher.

Fr. Steven highlighted the significance of honoring the memory of the late Reverend Father Bill, a devoted missionary and evangelist who dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel through Bible conventions, popular mission doctrines, parish retreats, and renewal programs.

The chosen theme for this retreat, inspired by Acts 16:13, echoes the timeless message: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."

Father Bill arrived in Uganda in 1993, leaving an indelible mark as he preached throughout the country, touching lives and healing many during his retreats.

Father Anthony Saji, intimately connected to Father Bill during his passing in Gulu, will be  the main preacher. Fr. Steven recounted the poignant moment when Father Bill breathed his last in Father Anthony Saji's lap, emphasizing the deep connection between the two revered figures.

“A couple of years ago while preaching he had chest pain and was being taken on the way to hospital he breathed his last. The main preacher will be reverend Father Anthony Saji on whose lap reverend father bill breathed his last”

The Holy Mass during the convention will be presided over by His Excellency, the Most Reverend Papal Nuncio Archbishop Augustine Kassuja, adding a solemn touch to the spiritual proceedings.

The convention, organized by preachers from the Vincentian Prayer Centre established by Father Bill, serves as an annual tribute to the missionary who initiated the mission in Africa in 1983.

Father Steven acknowledged Father Bill's dedicated ministry, emphasizing his role in planting the seed of the Word of God in the hearts of countless individuals.

“Indeed he was a very dedicated ministry who planted the seed of the word of God to multitude of people. And he came to the land of Uganda   and with a lot of enthusiasm he preached the word of God. And he is the one who begun this bible convention. And we are also continuing the same ministry after the death of father Bill” said father Stephen.

Father Bill arrived in Uganda in 1993, leaving an indelible mark as he preached throughout the country, touching lives and healing many during his retreats.

His passing in March 2008, attributed to a heart attack, marked the end of a remarkable journey.

He rests in peace at the Miraculous Medal Shrine at the Vincentian Prayer Center by the lakeside area of Bugonga in Entebbe, leaving behind a legacy that continues through the Annual Father Bill Bible Convention.
