Mukono Boda Riders Murdered and Dumped in Swamp

The territorial police of Mukono are investigating a disturbing case of robbery,  and murder by mob justice plus malicious damage to property in which six people died.

The incident  occurred after two Boda Boda riders were murdered and their motorcycles robbed.

The two victims include Ssemanda Sunday and Mawanda Richard whose motor cycles were robbed and murdered after their bodies were dumped in a nearby swamp at Kakola village in Nama sub county in Mukono district.

The victims motorcycles registration number UFF 955G, and UFX 119V were belonging to the deceased respectively.

The deputy spokesperson of Kampala Metropolitan Luke Owoyesigyire says that in the wake of the crime one suspect who's in custody at Mukono police identified as John Ssenyondo claimed that he knew the suspects who were behind the murder and robbery, so in the process the community ganged up and arrested Junior Masiga and Ssemuju Abdallah beat them to death and after sate their bodies on fire.

He further says that more two deceased whose identities are not yet established were barbarically arrested and took them to the burial site of Sunday Ssemanda and also killed them instantly.

The unknown deceased one was allegedly found in possession of a Mobile phone belonging to the victims of motorcycles while the other had the dirty shirt that caused their murder by mob.

"Urged the public to refrain from mob justice where some innocent people may lose their lives due to enmity" Owoyesigyire says In the process 29 suspects were arrested due to malice damage, Murder by mob, where one stuff of the Uganda wildlife authorities house and shops were maliciously put down after accusing him of connivance with the thieves.

The 29 who are currently detained at Mbalala and Mukono police stations are to be charged to courts of law on murder and malicious damage to property as investigations to arrest others are still ongoing.
