A city Lawyer identified as Kasana Pius is in hot soup for allegedly shooting at and injuring a police officer who was on patrol last night.
According to police at 1am, while police officers from Nabingo and UPDF where on routine patrol found Kasana's Bar along Bataka zone Nabingo in Kyengera town council, advised the owner to close , but Kasana had an altercation with the officers threatening them that they would lose their jobs and then they went away.
Luke Oweyesigire the Deputy Kampala metropolitan police spokesman says that moments later, they had the bullet against one of their colleagues, one probationary police constable Musoobozi Pascal attached to Nabingo police who got injured.
He adds that they rushed the victim to cardinal Nsubuga memorial hospital Nabingo for first aid and thereafter transferred to Mulago hospital for further management.
He further adds that they managed to go to the scene of crime with the relevant officers and arrested Kasana and his other six workers for investigations.
He further adds that although Kasana was arrested they have not yet recovered a rifle that was used to shoot and injure the officer on duty.
He further reveals that they found two vehicles with deflated tyres which include Toyota Mark X UBH 442H and progress Number UAS 692Q which had been towed to Nabingo police."
The place has been fond of playing loud music and other types of noise, despite calls from the area leadership" says Owoyesigyire.
