Supreme Court orders Kasese Prison Authorities to transfer Kasiwukira murder killer, Police Officer Jayden Ashraf from Kasese to Luzira Upper Prison as soon as possible inorder to prosecute his appeal challenging the 20year jail sentence.

The order to transfer PC Jayden has been given by Justice Christopher Madrama as he presided over a pre-hearing session of 15 Criminal Appeals today .

During the Court Session, Jayden and his co_convict Sandra Nakungu who is also serving the same sentence at Luzira Women Prison followed the proceedings via Zoom.

The two have been assigned a Government Lawyer to whom timelines  to file written submissions have been given before the case is fixed for hearing before the trial panel of 5 Justices.

n 2016 Jayden and Nakungu were convicted and  sentenced to serve 20years each  by the late Hugh court judge Wilson Masalu  Musene for the murder of Elia Ssebunya Bugembe aka Kasiwukira.

The two first challenged their Conviction before the court of Appeal and the same was upheld, hence the current appeal in the Supreme Court.

Prosecution maintains that the 2 formed a common intention to murder Kasiwukira in a  hit and run car accident near his home at Diplomat Zone in Muyenga while jogging.

However an eye witness saw and identified Jayden fleeing the scene in a speeding car .
