Buganda Road Court has further remanded the former Deputy Lubaga division RCC Anderson Burora to Luzira prison after failing to rule on his bail application and charging him with six fresh charges.
This is the third time that Butora is sent back to prison despite hoping to temporarily regain his freedom.
On Friday ,he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi, however Prosecution informed court that they should have been given more time to verify his presented bail documents. He was then remanded to Luzira prison until the 19th of this month.
This is to give a chance to the Director of Public Prosecutions to verify the documents presented by his three sureties .Burora was already facing charges of attacking the person of the Speaker of Parliament Rt.Hon.Anita Annet Among using his Twitter page.
In the fresh charges, he faces offences of actual malicious words that he allegedly posted on his X-handle @ Harder HB to include; Murderer, Torturer, kidnapper and corrupt.
Prosecution alleges that between March and June 2024 with an intention of demeaning or causing hate against the speaker of parliament Annet Anita Among; Burora posted malicious information that the speaker is a kidnapper , Torturer, a murderer and corrupt.
