Seven Senior Police Officers Promoted to AIGP

President Yoweri Museveni  the commander in chief of armed forces has elevated seven Senior Commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP), the highest rank within the Uganda Police Force.

Notably, former Kampala Metropolitan Police Commanders Frank Mwesigwa, now serving as Director of Operations Service (OPS), and Moses Kafeero, currently Director of Human Resource Development (HRD), are among those promoted.

Other senior officers promoted to the prestigious rank of  AIGPs include Felix Baryamwisaki, Director of Information Communication Technology (ICT); Hadijah Namutebi, Director of Welfare and Production; Charles Kataratambi, head of the Legal Directorate; David Waswa, Director of Counter-Terrorism Police (CT); and Ubaldo Wasswa, Director of the Political Commissariat (CPC).

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kituuma Rusoke, the Police Spokesperson, confirmed these promotions in a statement issued Wednesday evening.
