Muslims have been called upon to continually express gratitude to God for the countless blessings and favors bestowed upon them.
This message was emphasized by His Eminence Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda, during a sermon in Isingiro District.
Speaking to a congregation, Sheikh Mubaje underscored the importance of gratitude in the life of a pious Muslim.
He highlighted that a true believer who remains devoted to daily prayers is quick to thank Allah for His mercy and provisions. Conversely, the Mufti warned that a lack of gratitude can invite Allah's displeasure.
"Gratitude is a sign of faith, and failing to thank Allah for His blessings may attract His wrath," Sheikh Mubaje cautioned.
In his sermon, the Mufti also emphasized the importance of fostering harmony and good relations with people of other faiths.
He urged Muslims to live in peace and mutual respect with their neighbors, regardless of religious differences.
Sheikh Mubaje further encouraged the Muslim community to support the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) in its efforts to promote unity and development across the country.
According to him, collective progress is essential for the growth of the nation and the Muslim community.
"Let us work together to strengthen unity and promote development.
It is our duty as Muslims to contribute to the betterment of our community and nation," the Mufti stressed.
