Ochola warns police medical personnel against corruption.

The Inspector General of Police IGP Okoth Martin Ochola has appealed to police officers under the Directorate of Health services to practice high levels of integrity by avoiding corruption tendencies when executing their duties.

Ochola made remarks while opening the annual general meeting of the police Health service Directorate at police Headquarters Naguru.

He applauded the medical officers for the timeless work they have done in providing health related services to both officers and suspects who are in police custody but said that integrity is key while serving the public.

IGP Ochola however advised the Director Health services AIGP Moses Byaruhanga to always invite the head of other directorates including human resource and welfare to always interact with the medical personnel so as to get their views on issues affecting them.

Speaking at the function, AIGP Byaruhanga noted that they are now fast tracking the construction of the police hospital , adding that land measuring fie acres has been identified at the Police barracks in Nsambya.

He added that they will also construct more police clinics that he said serve not only police officers but also members of the public free of charge.This year’s annual general meeting of the police health service Directorate is held under the theme of improving and standardizing Health services delivery in police through strengthening human resource.It is attended by doctors, nurses, paramedics and support staff of the Police health services directorate.
