Pastor Arrested for trafficking 52 children

The department of anti-human trafficking in persons in the Ministry of Internal Affairs has revealed that they have recovered a total of 52 children who had been trafficked by a born again pastor in Jinja.

According to Agnes Igoye, the deputy coordinator against human trafficking in the Ministry of Internal Affairs,Robert Masiiga of Christ the Answer church in Jinja was arrested by police after 17 year old female victim reported that she had been defiled by the pastor and that she was six months pregnant.

Following the arrest,it was found that the pastor was collecting girls from the districts of Luuka,Tororo and Jinja with a promise to look after them.

Igoye says that a total of 52 girls most of them below the age of 15 were found in the pastor's custody and four of them had been impregnated

She however cautioned parents to be careful with the people they give their children for care.
