PSFU partners with Agricycle Global to support youth & young mothers

The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) has partnered with Agricycle Global, a social enterprise to support youth and young mothers dealing in agricultural products to get access to global markets.

Over 9,400 youth are set to benefit from a partnership for a period of 5 years.Speaking at the partnership launch ceremony held at the Agricycle Global offices in Luweero, Josh Sheffner- CEO and Founder Agricycle Global said the partnership will contribute to the elimination of food waste while empowering women and youth across the country.

Sheffner says they have developed village empowerment centers where they will set up the dehydrators and processing sites for turning food waste into valuable products and then sold to global markets.The PSFU Board Vice Chairperson Victoria Ssekitooleko says the partnership is a welcome venture that will contribute to the value addition chain and improve the livelihoods of the youth especially young mothers.

The project will be implemented in 17 districts across the four major regions of Uganda.
