Over 100 patients to benefit from free Neuro Surgeon Camp at Mulago Hospital

Mulago National Specialized Hospital has started a Neurosurgeon Camp aimed at clearing the backlog of brain related problems at free of charge that accumulated during the period when the hospital was under renovation.

Speaking after receiving 3000 pairs of surgical gloves donated by East African Medical Vitals, Dr Muhumuza Edgar Michael said that the two weeks Neuro Surgeon camp will see over 100 patients operated brain related problems like brain tumors among others.

He notes that a number of people have brain problems that compelled the hospital management to dedicate five operating there with a number of 10 professional doctors to do surgeries.

During the same event, the health practitioners have pleaded with local investors to consider quality of medical vitals in order to be able to compete internationally with other companies.

According to the Executive Director of Mulago National Specialised Hospital Dr Byarugaba Baterana, given the fact that Mulago is the a supreme court of medicine supporting local investors through BUBU will fix the gap in terms of medical supplies.

He made the remarks while receiving powder free gloves made in Uganda by East African Medical Vitals saying such innovations in the country will help in reducing unemployment among Ugandans.

Brian Kavuya the Managing Director of East African Medical Vitals said that they produce powder free Surgical and Examination gloves in Uganda, and giving back to health facilities gives them an opportunity and innovators to uplifts the standards of the health system in the country.
