Atleast 7 people have been reported dead in two bomb explosions which went off in the Central business Kampala while over 17 people were left seriously injured 12 of which have since been referred to Mulago and other hospitals while 5 have been sent home
The bomb explosions went off a few minutes past 10am one at the entrance of the Central Police Station Kampala and the other at Raja Chambers along parliamentary avenue.
At CPS 3 people died on spot while at Raja Chambers five people were reported dead and several others injured and by press time the bodies of the deceased were still lying on the scene waiting for experts to pick them.
At both scenes several vehicles including government and private vehicles were damaged beyond repair due to the explosions.
Currently various security agencies including police, UPDF, SFC and Joint Counter joint terrorists agencies have taken over the security in the Central business District and many businesses along Kampala road, Nakasero, have been ordered to close their shops.
Forensic investigators have since arrived at Parliamentary avenue as security operatives continue to comb the scene for any pieces of evidence into the explosion.
Many arcades which are near CPS Kampala have been ordered to close and all roads in administration were cut off while business people have been ordered to leave the city center.....More datails
